Loved her from the first time I read
Then proceeded to buy each and every original book she released
poetry and biographical.
Reading her story of triumph and moving forward after
being victimized as a child breathed life, hope and strength
into a young, scared, female love deprived elementary aged me.
Her depth, her wisdom and her love oozed off of every page.
I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings
and
why the butterflies never forget how to fly.
